With a century-old score, FlaBasquete beats Bauru and is already aiming for the Super 8 dispute

By Communication - Flamengo - inFlamengo won another match in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB). On Tuesday night (11), Rubro-Negro faced Bauru, at Maracanãzinho, and won by a stretch 103 to 59. Brandon Robinson led the way with 23 points. The American also led the way in rebounds with eight.
The game
The match started very evenly, with the teams constantly tied. With a minute remaining in the first quarter, free throws by Brandon Robinson and a three-pointer by Dar Tucker gave Flamengo a 24-19 lead heading into the second quarter. Back on the court, the teams once again played a back-and-forth affair. For Flamengo, Túlio da Silva was the standout, scoring all of the team's baskets in the first six minutes. Until halftime, the story continued similarly to the first quarter.

After halftime, the Mais Querido's superiority was reflected in the scoreboard. Winning the half comfortably, the team from Gávea opened up a 25-point lead on their opponents with a beautiful long-range basket from Faverani. The final period began with two three-pointers from Dar Tucker and Luke Martinez, which further extended the lead, eventually surpassing 40 points. Unassailable, Flamengo simply had to manage the result until they secured victory.

Now, the Red-Black team is taking a brief break from competition for the Super 8. Flamengo debuts on Saturday, the 15th, against the seventh-place team in the national championship. The return to the NBB will be on the 25th, at 20 pm, against Caxias do Sul, at Maracanãzinho.
