Flamengo had a gala night at Maracanãzinho and beat Obras Sanitárias, from Argentina, by 102 to 66, this Saturday (17), for the first of two games of Mais Querido in the second window of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCLA). Pushed by the Biggest Fanbase in the World, Rubro-Negro built the victory with authority from the first minutes and reached the hundred score in great style.

The standout players of the match were Gui Deodato and Kayo Gonçalves. The shooting guard was the top scorer of the night with 22 points, while the power forward scored 17. Both had an impressive perimeter shooting percentage, converting five three-pointers in six attempts each. In total, Flamengo made 19 three-point shots and was vastly superior to their opponent throughout the 40 minutes.

Flamengo's dominance was evident even in the first half, when the team led by Sergio Hernández went into halftime with a significant 62-24 lead. In the second half, Flamengo managed the pace of the game without sacrificing intensity, controlled the action, and secured a 102-66 victory.

1st Bedroom

Flamengo started the match at an overwhelming pace. With aggressive defense, quick transitions, and high offensive efficiency, the Rubro-Negro opened up a lead in the first few minutes and gave no room for a reaction from the Argentinian team. With excellent shooting efficiency, the first quarter ended with an impressive 29-11 score.

2st Bedroom

Without letting up, FlaBasquete raised the bar even higher in the second quarter. The team maintained its defensive intensity, forced opponent errors, and continued to punish them from the perimeter. Their dominance was absolute: a 33-13 victory in the quarter, taking Flamengo into halftime with an incredible 62-24 lead. An overwhelming performance.

With the game practically decided, the third quarter was more balanced. Obras Sanitárias managed to even the score at times, while Flamengo began to manage their lead, rotate their squad, and control the pace of the game, without allowing any real threat to the result.

In the final period, Flamengo regained complete control of the game. Maintaining their composure and organization, they once again dominated both offense and defense, extended their lead, and confirmed the 100-point score in front of their home crowd, closing the night at Maracanãzinho with a 102-66 victory.
