Flamengo remains firm in its pursuit of qualification for the final octagonal of the Basketball Development League (LDB). On Monday afternoon (16.02), the current champions of the national U-22 competition defeated Blumenau by an impressive score of 111 to 44, after dominating the match for 40 minutes.

All of the red-black athletes entered the court and scored, five of them reaching more than ten points scored: forwards Chupeta and Mingau, with 15 points each, forward Rodrigo, author of 13 points, forward/point guard Alef, with 12, and center Cristiano Felício, who also reached a double-double, with 14 points and ten rebounds.

"We were very focused. We started poorly in yesterday's game, and the Tittãs team played a good first quarter. Today we came out more focused, opening up a five- or six-point lead right away, and then increasing it. From the player rotation, I could see that my substitutes were ready," Chupeta analyzed.

To achieve a large 67-point lead, the young Flamengo players dictated the pace of the game from start to finish, but were brilliant in the second half, winning the third quarter 35-4 and the final period 30-15. With this result, Flamengo has 14 wins in 19 games (73,6% success rate), reaching 33 points, which keeps the team in fifth place, remaining firmly in the group of the top eight teams that will go to the next phase.
