After beating Romania, Australia, China and Lithuania, last Tuesday (2), the national team won its last friendly, again against the Chinese, at the Hugo Ramos Gymnasium, in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, by 83 to 69.

FlaBasquete representatives and their National Team teammates travel to Rio de Janeiro with six wins in six games this Wednesday (3). Brazil's Olympic debut will be on Sunday (7), at 14:15 pm (Brasília time), at Arena Carioca 1, against Lithuania.

"Expectations are the best possible. We had this training period in São Paulo for over a month, so the team was able to train a lot, the group is united in pursuit of the objective. I'm already the second physical trainer alongside Diego Jeleilate for two Olympic cycles; we've worked together for eight years. I'm very happy to know that the athletes' conditioning level is improving more and more, as is their responsibility and training culture. Brazil is prepared to achieve the goal we've set. Basketball needs a medal, and we are ready for it," stated Diego Falcão.

In the final match before the Games, Marquinhos scored eight points and provided two assists in the victory, after having been top scorer in the last game against Lithuania, who will be Brazil's first opponent in the Olympics.
