Playing at home for the second consecutive game in the NBB, FlaBasquete beat Unifacisa 91-53 on Thursday night (27), at Maracanãzinho. The highlight of the match was Gui Deodato, with 20 points, and Gabriel Jaú, with 18 and a double-double. The Pride of the Nation's next match in the competition will be away from home against the Bauru team.

The game
The Pride of the Nation started the match moving the ball around on the offensive end. The first three points of the game came from Gui Deodato. With a strong defense, the red-and-black team gave Unifacisa no room to move the ball forward. Gabriel Jaú received the ball unmarked on the perimeter and set up another three-pointer for Mengão. Jaú, from the dead zone, and Cuello also attempted three-pointers and converted. In the final minutes of the quarter, Gui Deodato hit another three-pointer and further increased the red-and-black lead: 25-13.

FlaBasquete continued to press firmly at the start of the second quarter, giving Unifacisa little chance to mount a comeback. Gabriel Jaú, the standout player of the match so far, received the ball unmarked in the dead zone and scored three more for Unifacisa. Faverani was then fouled on the shot and converted both free throws. Gui Deodato, with his calibrated hands, hit another three-pointer, reaching 13 points. Faverani showed up well in the paint and delivered a dunk that shook the Maracanãzinho. Unifacisa continued to dominate the game and closed the second quarter with a large lead: 52-25.

After halftime, Gui Deodato continued his momentum, hitting a double and then a triple, reaching 18 points for the game. Jaú also repeated his excellent performance from the first half and continued to be accurate with three-pointers. Argentine Vildoza appeared well to receive the ball and shoot another three-pointer. Penka Aguirre didn't let it go, scoring a three-pointer. Deodato then went coast-to-coast for a layup. Mengão was playing comfortably at Maracanãzinho and unleashed a flurry of three-pointers late in the third quarter. Mengão's lead remained enormous: 79-37.

In the final quarter, the red-and-black defense remained solid, the team's strong point, as was their ability to utilize three-pointers. Gustavinho's men calmly moved the ball from hand to hand and scored more points on offense. Faverani delivered another beautiful dunk, his specialty. FlaBasquete put on another excellent collective performance, closing the game 91-53.
