On Friday night (February 21.02), the capital of Ceará hosts the National Basketball League (LNB) event that awards the best athletes of the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), at the Paulo Sarasate Gymnasium. Representing Flamengo, Laprovittola and Marcelinho Machado participate, respectively, in the Skills Challenge and the 3-Point Tournament. In addition to these events, the All-Star Throw and the Slam Dunk Tournament are scheduled.

The Skills Challenge begins at 19:40 p.m.; the course, divided into five stages, offers obstacles that demand dexterity from the athletes, which is not lacking for the red-and-black competitor, Laprovittola, who is competing in the competition with eight other NBB players. At 20 p.m., it's Marcelinho's turn to compete in the 3-Point Tournament. Competing with six other athletes, Marcelinho will try to prove his hand is the most calibrated for three-point shots. Each athlete will shoot 25 balls, against a 60-second countdown timer, which will be placed in carts arranged in five positions, each with four orange balls, worth one point, and one colored ball worth two points.

"It's my first time competing in Brazil, but I've already participated in Lithuania. All the competitors can win, they have the quality to do so, but I hope it's me. In my career, I've always practiced three-pointers a lot, especially because of Oscar, who has always been a role model for me. I always tried to be the last one to leave the court in training, and to this day, I stay beyond my time practicing long-range shots," said Marcelinho.

The next day (February 22.02), at 10 a.m., Flamengo players Marcelinho and Laprovittola return to the Paulo Sarasate gymnasium, where the All-Star Game, a match between the best Brazilians and the best foreigners, will take place. On the NBB Brazil team, coached by José Neto, Marcelo and Olivinha also represent Flamengo; on the World team, Flamengo player Meyinsse joins the Argentine point guard.
