Teichmann, Dedé and Vitor Boccardo are the new faces

Two-time Brazilian champion, South American champion, and four-time Rio de Janeiro champion. The current generation of red-and-black basketball has no shortage of titles. And, even with the loss of center Baby, expectations are high for this season. With a strengthened team, coach Paulo Chupeta boasts one of the strongest squads in the country. The goal is to maintain dominance on the Brazilian and South American courts.
The first reinforcements were the retention of brothers Duda and Marcelinho Machado, the best player in the last edition of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Flamengo also signed forwards Guilherme Teichmann and Victor Boccardo. Teichmann previously played for the Brazilian national team, while Boccardo was in American college basketball. Another addition is experienced point guard Dedé. The core of recent years was retained: Hélio, Fred, Coloneze, and Jefferson.
The goal is to bring as many trophies as possible to Gávea. "Our goal is to win everything we compete for. We know the schedule is tight, but everyone is a starter for Flamengo, and we'll go all out," says André Guimarães, Flamengo basketball supervisor.
