Against Minas, Flamengo seeks leadership in the NBB
This Tuesday (09), teams face each other for the second time in a week
By Helena Petry - inFlaBasquete faces Minas TC this Tuesday (09), at 19 pm, at Arena Minas, with broadcast by ESPN. For the Pride of the Nation, in second place in the table with 16 wins in 18 games, the victory is worth the leadership in the NBB. The retrospect is favorable for Mengão, who won both matches played against the opponent this season, the last one being less than a week ago. On Wednesday (03), the teams faced each other for the Champions League, at Maracanãzinho, with the final score of 79 to 69 for Mais Querido.
According to Gustavo De Conti, however, past matches will have little influence on the new clash.
"The victories we've had so far, unfortunately, don't change anything about what tomorrow will bring. We need to look, gain some confidence, but we have to rebuild everything on the court. This game means a lot to us, and we're worth the lead in the championship, so I don't think there's any greater motivation than that," said the coach.
The duel against Minas will be the first in a series of three clashes in Belo Horizonte. On Friday (12), at 17 pm, Flamengo faces Pato Basquete, while Campo Mourão will be the opponent on Sunday (14), at 16 pm. DAZN will broadcast both clashes.
