After delivering thrills to Flamengo fans in their 88-84 victory over Universo/Brasília in the first game of the Novo Basquete Brasil finals, players Marcelinho, Duda, Hélio, and Jefferson experienced an even greater adrenaline rush this Sunday. Invited by Sky, the team's sponsor, to watch the Rio de Janeiro stage of the Stock Car Championship, the reigning two-time Brazilian champions accepted driver Daniel Serra's invitation after the race and experienced firsthand the thrill of driving a race car.

The first to take a lap in the RBR driver's car, winger Jefferson compared the experience at the Jacarepaguá Racetrack to the sensation of riding a roller coaster.

"It was a unique experience in my life. A wonderful feeling, an incredible adrenaline rush. I wasn't afraid, but I confess there was enormous tension in there. It's incredible how quickly the car reaches 280 km/h and then quickly slows down to 80 km/h when turning a curve. It's like you're on a roller coaster.

Marcelinho and Hélio also felt the same adrenaline as their teammate, but the one who really experienced the most extreme emotion and closest to the reality of a driver was the number 10 from Gávea when Daniel Serra's car broke down during the lap.

"It's a huge adrenaline rush, but it's so good. You can't describe the feeling you get inside a car that accelerates to almost 300 km/h. My lap was even more exciting because the car broke down during the lap and spun on the track," said winger/guard Duda.
