Rafael Rachel is entering his third season as a professional player for FlaBasquete! The Gávea native has already won everything for the Pride of the Nation: Carioca, NBB, Super 8, Champions League, and World Cup. At just 22 years old, the young winger has already made his mark on the club's history.

"It's great to be able to wear the Manto for another season. I thank everyone involved for their trust. I'm entering my third year as a professional with Flamengo, and this is very rewarding for me, being able to continue developing alongside great professionals and athletes. It's very important to me. This season I will continue to evolve, finding my place and helping the team in whatever way it needs. God willing, this season will be another remarkable one in my career, in the careers of the other players, and in the history of Flamengo," said Rachel.

Considered one of the greatest prospects in Brazilian basketball from a young age, Rachel has proven her talent and dedication year after year. After arriving at Gávea in February 2019, still a youth player, she soon began training with the professionals and was consistently selected by coach Gustavo De Conti.

"Rachel symbolizes another aspect of FlaBasquete: the development of prospects. We have a rare infrastructure in Brazilian sports. Combined with the capacity of Flamengo's Olympic sports professionals, we are prepared to develop talent to the highest level of performance. Rachel is on the Brazilian U-23 team and continues to grow. It's a valid investment for a project that is a benchmark in Brazilian basketball," said Guilherme Kroll, Flamengo's vice president of Olympic Sports.

Rafael Rachel joins Gui Deodato, Martin "Loku" Cuello, Rafael Mineiro, Nicolas "Penka" Aguirre, Olivinha, Yago, and Gabriel "Jaú," confirmed for next season. Coach Gustavo De Conti also renewed his contract with FlaBasquete and will remain in charge of the team.
