Gabriel Landeira was FlaBasquete's top scorer in the tournament and the second-highest overall scorer, scoring 292 points in 15 games, averaging 19,46.

With this result, Mengão's "Mais Querido" ended its 16-game, 16-win streak in the tournament and finished the state championship undefeated. This was the third Rio de Janeiro title for Mengão's youth teams in 2018. The U-17 and U-19 teams have also been crowned champions, but that's not all. Next Saturday at 10 am, the U-17 team faces Fluminense, potentially becoming another red-and-black team to win the title. Go for it, Gávea Kids!
