Flamengo's Under-22 team beat Unifacisa 83-38 in Gávea
By Paulo Neto* - inThe Mais Querido Under-22 team beat Unifacisa on Wednesday afternoon (1), in a match valid for the second stage of the Basketball Development League (LDB), at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea.
The highlights of the match were top scorer Matheusinho, with 12 points and three assists, and Rafael Rachel, who recorded another double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The game
Flamengo started the match intensely. The starting five of Matheusinho, Camargo, Ruan, Rafael Rachel, and Emanuel opened a six-point lead early in the first quarter, with a run of 8-2. Unifacisa evened things up throughout the quarter, but Flamengo quickly responded with a run of nine unanswered points, capped by Dilber's three-pointer from the dead zone, to close out the first quarter 20-9.
Flamengo picked up where they left off in the first quarter. Ruan scored the team's first three points, while Lucas and Magno, both with six points, led the way. The Crias da Gávea went into halftime with a 46-21 score.
Despite the advantage, Flamengo returned to the start of the third quarter with the same pace. Led by Rafael Rachel, who scored seven points, the team extended the lead to 66-33. In the final minutes, Flamengo barely gave their opponent a chance, scoring just five points, closing the score at 83-38.

Flamengo returns to the court on Friday (3), at 19:45 pm, for the duel against Minas, with live broadcast, with images from FlaTV. The match will be at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea, which is the venue for the second stage of the competition.
