After a week of Champions League matches in Uruguay, FlaBasquete is back in Brazil and resumes its quest for the eighth title of the NBB. The Pride of the Nation's next opponents will be São Paulo and Paulistano, on December 20th and 22nd, away from home. The first match, at 20 pm, will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN, while the second, at 19:15 pm, will be broadcast live on Sportv and FlaTV+.
The red-black squad trained on Monday morning (19) in Gávea and embarks this afternoon for the Land of Drizzle. After the activity, coach Gustavo De Conti made an analysis of the Mais Querido's opponents.
"It's going to be two very tough matches. These are two teams that are very high up in the table, both practically in the top six. Starting with São Paulo, which is a super-winning team with a lot of individual talent and a very strong defensive team. It's going to be a very tough match," said Gustavinho, adding. "Paulistano is a very young team, but very physical, which is improving significantly, with many consecutive wins. These are two away games, so it's going to be very difficult, but we had a good week of training after the Champions League and are prepared for these challenges."
Flamengo sits second overall in the NBB standings, with 11 wins in 12 matches and 23 points, just one point behind leader Franca, who maintains a 100% record. The two teams will face each other later this year on December 29th at Tijuca Tênis Clube, at 19:15 pm. Tickets for the match will be available soon at flamengo.superingresso.com.br, starting at R$15.
