Back on the court for the NBB, FlaBasquete beat Bauru 94-79, this Friday (20), at Maracanãzinho. Absolute highlight of the match, Jordan Williams led another triumph for the Pride of the Nation with 27 points scored. Now, the team led by Gustavo De Conti faces Paulistano on Monday (23), away from home.

1st Bedroom
FlaBasquete's first two points of the game came from Alexey, who drove into the paint and converted the basket. Bauru started the match well, taking the lead in the first half of the quarter. Gradually, the red-and-black team improved its playmaking and took the lead with a three-pointer from Jhonatan Luz. In the final seconds of the period, Bauru opened up a second lead, closing the period at 20-16.

2st Bedroom
Early in the second quarter, Jordan Williams received an open ball behind the three-point line and converted the basket. In another fine play, the American penetrated the paint and scored two more points. Alexey then scored two more, giving the Pride of the Nation the lead. Shaq Johnson made a good play, infiltrated the paint, and added two more for Mengão. With a good assist from Balbi, Williams added two more points on the alley-oop. In this quarter alone, the red-and-black number 8 scored 15 points, being the absolute standout. In complete control of the match, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) finished the period leading 55-35.

3st Bedroom
After halftime, Kayo Gonçalves hit a three-pointer. The red-and-black team continued to perform well offensively, giving Bauru no chance for a comeback. On the court, Balbi made a good play and scored two points on a layup. When the São Paulo team attempted a comeback, FlaBasquete responded with a three-pointer. With that, the Pride of the Nation closed the quarter leading 76-62.

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, the red-and-black team didn't let the pace drop and maintained control. In the final stretch, Bauru fought back, closing the gap, and making the final minutes thrilling. At a crucial moment, Jordan Williams converted another three-pointer to put the brakes on the São Paulo team. In the final seconds, the Pride of the Nation managed their advantage well and closed out the game with a 94-79 victory.  

Next challenge
The Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Monday (23) to face Paulistano, at 19:30 pm, at the Antônio Prado Jr. gym, in another round of the NBB.
