I wasn't even 70% fit, Duda only returned today, the rotation was being interrupted a bit, but that's it: overcoming. Until the break, to have a rest, it'll be like this," said the number 9, who also took the opportunity to praise the team's performance against Tijuca.
"It was the most disputed Carioca since I arrived at Flamengo, in 2006, after the one in 2007, which had Vasco and Fluminense, with partnerships with other teams, so it was a title that values our work too", he observed.
Point guard Duda, who returned from injury in last Thursday's match (16.12), against Tijuca, also believes that the Rio title served to prove the quality of Flamengo, which suffered two tough defeats this year: in the NBB final and in the South American League final. Both against Brasília.
"This is the result of the work we've done, playing in three competitions at the same time. We know the difficulties we've had, but this team deserves to win titles. Flamengo fans are used to being champions, and all the titles we've won are very important to them too," concluded the number 10.
