After winning the fifth New Basketball Brazil (NBB) championship with Mais Querido, power forward Olivinha and centers JP Batista and Rafael Mineiro reported to the Brazilian Adult Basketball Team for the 47th South American Championship in Venezuela, which will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, from June 26 to July 2. The national team will be led by coach Gustavo De Conti and is preparing at the Hebraica and Paulistano Gymnasiums in São Paulo.

"I'm very motivated and very happy to have been remembered again for the Brazilian National Team. We have a very high-quality group for this South American tournament, we'll train hard until our debut because our goal is to bring another trophy home to Brazil. Physically, I'm very well-conditioned, especially since I'm coming from a competition, and I even prefer it that way, so as not to lose too much fitness. I hope to help the National Team in the best way possible," said Olivinha, who was named MVP of the NBB8 finals.

Brazil is in group A of the South American tournament and will face the teams of Ecuador (27), at 14:45 pm in Brasília, Paraguay (28), at 18:15 pm, Bolivia (29), at 14:45 pm and Venezuela (30), at 20:30 pm. Group B is made up of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.
