FlaBasquete secured its third consecutive victory in NBB 11, and the match against Joinville was a thrilling affair until the final second. Playing at Arena Carioca 1, the "Mais Querido" defeated the opposing team 76-75 and maintains its 100% record in the competition.
After the match, point guard Deryk Ramos spoke about the difficulties encountered in the match and highlighted the importance of winning at home.
"The most important thing was not to give the opposing team any confidence. We already realized that with the level of the NBB, any team that gains confidence in the match will give us a hard time. Above all, the most important thing in this game was the victory."
The number 9 was the top scorer of the match with 15 points and spoke about the change in attitude after the break to come away with the victory.
"At the beginning of the game, we weren't defending very well, and their team managed to get easy shots. Once we were able to impose our rhythm, things improved. We have a very long, very physical team. We put that into practice, the game came our way, and we managed to come away with the victory."
