Challenge: Our Basketball Stars Surprise Fans on a Street Court
Red-and-black players meet fans on a court in Rio's south zone for an unusual 'pelada'

A special surprise was planned for Rio street basketball fans on the courts at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, on the eve of the NBA Global Games Rio, which features Flamengo vs. Orlando Magic, on October 17, in Barra da Tijuca. Buy your tickets now.
The Rio de Janeiro tourist spot received an unusual challenge when an actor, without the physical attributes for the sport, approached the court asking to play.
The natural reaction of those who frequented the street courts was to doubt our actor: "He started stretching, doing jumping jacks. A little clueless. Crazy," said one of the players who was waiting for the next game.
Instructed to arrive alone, asking to play and doing awkward stretches, no one gave the actor credit, and he soon began to attract the attention of passersby. Others in the crowd also noticed something was out of the ordinary. One fan commented: "But at first, when we went to see him, we felt sorry for him because they told him: 'If you get your team together, you'll play there.' (laughs)"
As soon as he was asked about not even having a team to play with, he quickly responded that 'his people' were arriving, and that was when the big surprise entered the court.

In fact, four huge surprises: Jerome Meyinsse, Olivinha, JP Batista and Gegê invaded Lagoa, leaving everyone open-mouthed with our actor's amazing team, who also received from Jerome himself the new official fan shirt and an invitation to enter the court with his idols.
