Owner of the best campaign of NBB 12 so far, FlaBasquete entered the court on Friday night (24) and beat Brasília 94 to 77, in a duel held at the ASCEB gym, in the federal capital. Winger Marquinhos was the red-black's top scorer in the match, scoring 19 points.

The game
The first quarter started fairly evenly, with both teams looking to move the ball forward. Flamengo moved the ball around a lot, trying to find space in Brasília's defense, which was pressing hard. Late in the quarter, Flamengo's three-pointers began to fall, with Marquinhos and Zach Graham (2). Flamengo finished the period ahead, winning 22-17.

Early in the second quarter, Graham showed his calibrated hand and hit another shot. The game picked up pace, with Flamengo exploiting Brasília's mistakes to quickly transition to scoring. Mengão's three-pointers were falling from Rafael Mineiro, Panchi Barrera, and Deryk, further increasing the Flamengo's lead: 54-35.

Coming back into the third quarter, neither team was able to score in the opening three minutes. FlaBasquete controlled the match well and, with a strong defense, gave Brasília no opportunity to react. Marquinhos also excelled in the match with important points at the right time. The Red-Blacks remained ahead 69-55.

In the final quarter, the Mais Querido maintained the same pace and continued scoring. The red-and-black team, which had been the better team throughout the match, controlled the action and had no trouble defeating Brasília by a score of 94 to 77.

Now, FlaBasquete's next match will be against Unifacisa on Tuesday (28). The two teams face each other at 20 pm, at Maracanãzinho.
