Newcomers to Flamengo, Jason Robinson, JP Batista and Rafa Luz defend the Rubro-Negro this Saturday, against the Orlando Magic

FlaBasquete newcomers Jason Robinson, JP Batista, and Rafael Luz arrived at HSBC Arena on Tuesday morning (October 13.10) with the rest of the squad, coaching staff, and directors to watch the court setup for the highly anticipated game against the Orlando Magic. In the match, the players will face an NBA team for the first time in their careers, and with the match date approaching, they couldn't hide their joy at experiencing this historic moment.
American Jason Robinson revealed that playing against an NBA team is his childhood dream. He will fulfill it while representing the World's Most Beloved. "I'm looking forward to enjoying the moment and competing at a high level. This game is a chance to fulfill a dream I've had since I was a kid: playing against an NBA team. Being a part of this is a wonderful experience," he said.
Center JP Batista, who has faced players from the United States and represented Brazil on the Brazilian national team, cannot hide his excitement about facing a team from the world's top professional basketball league for the first time.
"Expectations are high. It's an honor to be part of this historic event, as it will be the first time a Brazilian team hosts an NBA team in Brazil for a preseason. I'm a little anxious, as it will be my first game against an NBA team, in front of Flamengo fans, and the arena will undoubtedly be full. I'm very happy and hopeful that our team will play a great game. We'll do our best to represent Flamengo and Brazil in this match," he declared.
Point guard Rafael Luz, who also played for the Brazilian national team, explains how important this match will be for both teams' preparation for the season. "It's every professional athlete's dream to play against an NBA team. It will be useful for their preseason training, and for us as well. The experience will be unique and incredible. We have to make the most of it," he concluded.
