Didi Louzada is the sixth player on the FlaBasquete team for the 23/24 season! The Espírito Santo native, from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, is back in the national basketball scene. This time, the shooting guard will represent his favorite club.

Didi is only 24 years old and has already played in the NBA, the world's most important basketball league. In 2019, he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks and soon traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. Ultimately, the shooting guard signed with the Sydney Kings of Australia as part of their player development program. In 2021, the American club requested his return, and the following year, he signed with the Cleveland Charge of the G-League, affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The new Flamengo player spoke about his happiness at defending his favorite team and what he expects from the team for the next season.

"I'm very happy to be representing Flamengo this season, returning to Brazil and playing alongside the wonderful fans that are the Nation. Everyone knows I'm a Flamengo fan, and it was a dream of mine to play for Flamengo, and it's now coming true. I have high expectations for the season, and I hope we can bring many titles to the club, returning to the winning streak we had two or three years ago. But now with a new team, key players, and you can be sure that whatever they need me for on the court, I'll give my all, one hundred percent. So, I'm very happy to represent Flamengo, and thank you, Nação Rubro-Negra, for always supporting me," said Didi.

Vice President of Olympic Sports for Rubro-Negro, Guilherme Kroll spoke about the new star of Mais Querido.

"Didi has always been a dream of ours. There are players who are at a different level in the Brazilian domestic basketball scene. Didi is one of them; he has NBA standards. I'm convinced he will be another idol for the Pride of the Nation," commented Kroll.
