By Helena Petry - inIt's the final stretch of the NBB! This Thursday (12), FlaBasquete begins its journey in the competition's semifinal series, best of five matches. The Pride of the Nation faces Minas, at 20 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube. Tickets are already on sale, starting at R$20, at flamengo.superingresso.com.br and, on the day of the match, at the gymnasium box office (cash only).
Flamengo arrives in the quarterfinals riding high on three consecutive victories over Paulistano, with the last match taking place on May 3rd in São Paulo. Minas, meanwhile, won the series against Unifacisa 3-1, having last played on Saturday, May 7th. Games 2 and 3 of the semifinal series will take place at Arena Minas in Belo Horizonte, on the 15th and 17th, at 19:30 pm and 20 pm, respectively. All matches will be broadcast live on ESPN.
In the history of the competition, Flamengo and Minas Gerais have faced each other 31 times, with 26 wins for "Mais Querido" and only five losses, while in NBB 14, each team has one victory. FlaBasquete won the first-round match of the qualifying phase 99-63 at home and suffered the defeat away, 88-79.
