He's staying! Argentine Franco Balbi, the best point guard and best foreign player in the last NBB, has renewed his contract with the "Mais Querido" for another season. A darling of the Red-Black Nation in his first year with the "Manto Sagrado," the number 6 was a key player in the State Championship, Super 8, and NBB 11 victories.

In the national championship, Balbi averaged 10,8 points, 5,7 assists, and 14,6 efficiency. During the finals series against Sesi Franca, the Argentine averaged 12,6 points, 5,2 assists, and 12,2 efficiency. 

"I'm very happy to stay for another year! I hope next year brings even more achievements," said the point guard. 

With the confirmation of the renewal, the Argentine joins Olivinha, who signed for another season, Marquinhos, Deryk Ramos, Jhonatan Luz and coach Gustavo De Conti, who have another year on their contract with Flamengo.
