The Red-Black Nation is accustomed to cheering whenever Marcelinho Machado converts another of his beautiful three-pointers. It's no surprise that the number 4 is one of the references when it comes to this skill, totaling 959 baskets as the greatest shooter in the history of the NBB. This Sunday (18), the captain returns to the All-Star Game to, in his fourth appearance in the 3-Point Tournament, seek his third championship.

His first title came in 2014, when he debuted in the competition. Leading the first phase of the 3-a-side tournament, Marcelinho shone in the final, converting 21 of 25 shots, scoring 23 points, and taking home the trophy. To this day, the winger holds the all-time points record.

Defending the trophy the following year, the number 4 scored 20 points in the opening round and finished second. The captain then repeated his 23 points from his first year, outperforming his competitors, and taking the championship for the second time. He was also present in 2016 but failed to perform well.

"It's a fun competition, where everyone has a chance to win. I've already won twice in three contests, and all the events were really cool, each with its own unique twist. I'm coming back to win. Of course, it's a big party, and the goal is to be a part of it, but I'm sure the other competitors and I will go in with a winning mindset. I hope I can win," the winger told FlaTV.

The NBB All-Star Game will be held on Sunday (18), at 10 am, at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium, in São Paulo (SP). Marcelinho will also participate in the game between NBB Mundo x NBB Brasil, at 12:30 pm.
