Flamengo returns to action in the Novo Basquete Brasil 12 this Wednesday (06). In Campina Grande, Paraíba, Mais Querido faces Unifacisa, at 19 pm, and seeks the fourth victory in the competition. The match will be broadcast live on DAZN. 

FlaBasquete's only absence will be recently announced Dominican center Eloy Vargas. The player, who shone in Argentina last season, arrives for the NBB and Champions League competition.

When asked about Mengão's next match, coach Gustavo De Conti analyzed coach Felipe Santana's team. 

"Unifacisa is a very versatile team, with no single star player, but several players who can score and give us trouble rebounding. Of course, there's Barnes, who has been the standout in points, but there's plenty of potential to shine on a game night," the coach assessed.

Confrontation retrospective

This Wednesday's match will be the first duel between the teams in the NBB. Last season's Liga Ouro champion, the Paraíba-based team has faced Flamengo only once in its history, in the opening friendly match at Arena Unifacisa. The match, held in 2017, ended in a 73-67 victory for FlaBasquete.
