In a balanced duel, FlaBasquete beats Pinheiros 88-83 and remains in the lead of the NBB

Playing away from home in the NBB, FlaBasquete maintained its good streak of positive results and beat Pinheiros, 88 to 83, this Wednesday (27), at the Henrique Villaboim gym. For the red-black side, Gui Deodato was the highlight with 23 points. With the result, the Pride of the Nation achieved its eighth consecutive victory in the national competition.

1st Bedroom
FlaBasquete's first six points of the match came from Gui Deodato, who hit two consecutive three-pointers. Didi worked the ball well and provided a good assist for Diarra to score two more from inside the paint. The Flamengo offense worked well early and built a good lead. On the court, Scott Machado found Filipovity open to shoot from three. In the final minutes, Pinheiros came into the game and closed the gap, closing the deficit to two points. Filipovity stood out, scoring 12 points in the first quarter, which ended in a 28-26 victory for Mengão.

2st Bedroom
After a good turnover, Cuello penetrated the paint and finished the play, scoring his first two points of the match. Meanwhile, Pinheiros counterattacked, keeping the game evenly matched, with the score alternating. Franco Balbi shot for a three-pointer, but the ball fell. On an inspired night, Filipovity hit his third three-pointer of the match. Scott Machado made an individual play, penetrated the paint, and scored two more. Another standout for the red-and-black team was Gabriel Jaú, who came off the bench and scored eight points in the quarter. The game was a back-and-forth affair, with the lead changing frequently. In the final seconds, Kayo Gonçalves hit a three-pointer and put the Pride of the Nation back in front, leading 48-45 at halftime.

3st Bedroom
After halftime, FlaBasquete improved its defense and made Pinheiros' attacking play more difficult. On the counterattack, Jaú provided a good assist for Kayo to score two more points. Gui Deodato found space in the dead zone to hit another three-pointer. Filipovity pressed forward and scored two points on a layup. In the final minutes, Pinheiros closed the gap again. Gui Deodato, with his accuracy, hit another three-pointer and was also fouled. The number 1 was the red-and-black's standout player. The red-and-black team closed the period with a 68-64 lead.

4st Bedroom
In the final quarter, the match remained evenly matched. Balbi received the ball from the perimeter and hit a three. The game was back and forth, with each team alternating the lead. Balbi delivered a beautiful pass to Jaú in the paint. He converted for two, was fouled, and hit the bonus free throw. What a pass from Gui! The number 1 found Jaú open for a dunk. In the final minutes, Gui Deodato was once again instrumental in keeping the red-and-black team ahead. On the other hand, Pinheiros adopted a strategy of stopping the game with fouls in the final seconds, but the Pride of the Nation had good free throw shooting and secured a crucial 88-83 away victory.

Next challenge
The Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Friday (29) to face Corinthians, at 19 pm, at the Wlamir Marques gym, for the NBB.
