Highlights
The red-and-black star was point guard Yago. The little monster finished the match with 20 points, 15 in the second half, which propelled the team to the comeback. Olivinha, in turn, recorded a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Brandon Robinson also played a key role in the victory, with 16 points and four assists.

The game
The match began with Flamengo taking the lead in the opening minutes, but throughout the first quarter, Flamengo managed a sequence of good possessions and took the lead on the scoreboard, thanks to three-pointers from Rafael Mineiro and Brandon Robinson. Flamengo took a 19-12 lead in the first quarter, but the first half ended 21-17.
In the second quarter, Mengão struggled offensively, and Corinthians seized the momentum to regain their lead. Just as their opponents were trying to extend their lead, Olivinha hit two crucial three-pointers to keep Mengão in the game. The match went into halftime with the score at 40-35.
As the teams returned for the third quarter, Flamengo began its comeback. On the team's first offensive possession, Brandon Robinson hit another one from the perimeter. Dar Tucker and Túlio da Silva further reduced the opponent's lead, but it was Yago, from the middle of the field, that reclaimed the lead. Rafael Mineiro still had time to finish the quarter with a spectacular block. The Pride of the Nation went into the final ten minutes with a 58-55 lead.
The final quarter was as good as the game had been: Flamengo and Corinthians traded baskets until the end. In total, there were ten lead moves throughout the match. And it was in the final minute that the Monstrinho's star shone once again: with a beautiful left-footed layup, the red-and-black point guard put a five-point lead on the scoreboard, which the team managed to hold until the end to emerge with an 83-80 victory.
Next appointment
Mengão returns to the court for the duel against Paulistano, next Thursday (11), in São Paulo. Afterwards, Rubro-Negro returns home and receives Minas, at Maracanãzinho, on the 20th.
