The second quarter maintained Flamengo's momentum from the final stretch of the first. With intense defense and quick transitions, the Rubro-Negro took control of the game. Two minutes before halftime, Flamengo was already winning by 9 points, consolidating an impressive comeback after starting the game 13 points behind. Then, Negrete drove to the basket, made the basket with contact, and converted the additional free throw.
