In the final stretch of preparations for the South American League, starting on the 28th in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, Flamengo faces another challenge in the State Basketball Championship. This Thursday (October 21.10st), the red-and-black team faces Riachuelo at 20:30 pm at the Municipal Club gymnasium. The match is part of the first round of the competition's return leg. In the first round, Flamengo won 114-56.
Five-time state champions, the Gávea team is undefeated in the competition, with five wins in five matches. The competition is serving as preparation for the South American League and the NBB.
"These State Championship games are being good tests for the team's upcoming challenges. Riachuelo has an organized team and some of the players were my athletes," said coach Paulo Chupeta.
