Flamengo and Paulistano replayed the final of the last Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) on Thursday night (January 15.01) at the same Barra Arena. Once again, Flamengo won 97-81, in a close match until midway through the third quarter, when "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) emerged victorious. The game, part of the 16th round of the NBB, was brought forward due to both teams' participation in the 2015 Liga das Américas. Marcelinho and Herrmann were the standout performers, drawing applause and plenty of noise from the crowd. While the captain led the way with 23 points, along with four assists and four rebounds, the Argentinean reached 19 points. The two veterans combined for eight of the Pride of the Nation's 13 three-pointers.
