Last Saturday (24), the Under-13, Under-15 and Under-19 teams of Mais Querido entered the court for another round of the State Basketball Championship. Playing away from home, in São Januário, Flamengo faced Vasco da Gama in the three categories and won two victories.

In a very close game, the U-15 team beat the Cruzmaltino team by a score of 55-41. Jonathan Ferreira was the top scorer for the red-black team with 11 points. João Crivellari (10 points) and Miguelzinho (9 points) also stood out.

In the U-19 division, Flamengo managed to remain undefeated in the competition. In another strong performance, Flamengo won the classic 60-40. Thiago de Carvalho was the standout player with 10 points and 9 rebounds, finishing the match with 15 points.

The only setback of the weekend came in the U-13 division. Despite their efforts, the Red-Black team ended up losing 73-40.

The next matches for the Under-13, 15 and 19 categories will be against Tijuca, on April 6th, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym.

The Flamengo Regatas basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of funds from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the club.
