In the State Basketball round, U-14 and U-17 beat Vasco
Playing away from home, the Mais Querido teams achieve a positive result in the classic
By Victor Cachoeira - inLast week, the Rio de Janeiro Basketball Championship returned to the youth teams of the Mais Querido team. Playing at São Januário Stadium, Flamengo defeated Vasco da Gama in the classic match between the U-14 and U-17 categories.

In the U-14 team's match, Flamengo dominated from start to finish, winning 68-33. Coach Ígor Meletti's team achieved its ninth consecutive victory and remains undefeated in the competition.
In the U-17 category, the team led by coach Marcos Beegu also maintained its unbeaten run in the State Championship with a positive result in the Clássico dos Milhões. In a hard-fought match that went to two overtimes, the Rubro-Negro team emerged victorious with a score of 69-67, registering its twelfth victory in the Carioca Championship.
The U-17 and 14 teams return to action on August 15th and 18th, respectively, facing Jacarepaguá and Central at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea.
