Team loses to Brasília in the Federal District: 82 to 70
The red-black team makes mistakes, suffers its second defeat in the NBB, but remains in the lead

Suffering from several absences and a night of poor play, the Mais Querido suffered its second loss in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) to Brasília, 82-70, in the Federal District. Despite leading in the first quarter, the team was unable to overcome the defense.
"Our team isn't unbeatable. We made some silly mistakes, and unfortunately, they were able to take advantage of them. We'll use this loss to work harder and play our best in the next game," lamented point guard Benite. Power forward Olivinha was the red-and-black's top scorer with 17 points.
In the second quarter, Flamengo had its worst moment, trailing 24-16. The team attempted a comeback but stumbled on shooting errors and in the final quarter, allowed the team from the Federal District to mount numerous counterattacks. Brasília's defensive consistency further hampered Flamengo, which, despite the loss, remains in the lead with a two-game advantage.
Mengão travels to Fortaleza to face Basquete Cearense. The game will be at 16 pm, on Saturday (23.02).
