Flamengo finished the Copa Avianca with a positive result. Even with the goal of simply gaining game rhythm, the red-and-black team finished third in the competition. Now, the Official Website of the Most Beloved brings a numerical analysis of FlaBasquete's performance in the tournament.
When it comes to the offensive system, FlaBasquete has names that are already well-known. With the highest point average in the competition, Marquinhos was the top scorer with 18.5 points per game. One of the tournament's standouts, center JP Batista averaged 15.8 points per game and was the third-highest scorer in the championship.
On the defensive side, power forward Olivinha stood out. Averaging 7.7 rebounds per game (a competition-leading 11) and 2.3 rebounds per game, the number 16 was one of the defensive cornerstones of coach José Neto's team.
MJ Rhett was synonymous with blocks and dunks. Averaging 1.7 dunks and 0.8 blocks per game, the American was among the top 3 in both fundamentals, bringing the good old "Show Time" to the courts.
