NBB finalist Flamengo blesses engaged couple
Leonardo and Luciana got engaged at a Fla basketball match and celebrated their victory this Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Flamengo secured a spot in the NBB finals by beating Franca away from home. The triumph was celebrated by the entire nation, but especially by the couple Leonardo and Luciana, who got engaged during a break in the red-and-black basketball team's game last Saturday (08.05), played at the HSBC Arena.
Basketball coach Leonardo had the idea of proposing to his girlfriend and contacted Flamengo's Marketing Department. The idea was accepted, and everything was carefully arranged.
"I had promised my girlfriend's father, Mr. Carlos, that I would invite him to watch a Flamengo basketball game when I got tickets. After receiving the okay from the club, I rushed to buy the rings and talked to her parents and mine. But I only said I would propose that day, after the game. I didn't say I would do it during halftime," Leonardo explained.
Since everything was already set, all that was left was to get Luciana to join in the fun. And the Flamengo fan literally joined in. She was called onto the court to participate in one of the entertainment activities offered at Flamengo games and ended up being caught off guard by her then-boyfriend.
"I entered the court without her seeing, with a huge heart, a gift from Flamengo to us, and with the microphone. It was a surprise for everyone, both for her and for our friends and family present. It was very special for me and for her," said Leonardo.
And the couple's connection with the red-and-black basketball team is truly strong. On the same day Flamengo reached another NBB final, Leonardo and Luciana celebrated their first anniversary.
"We were together yesterday (Tuesday), completing a year together. Unfortunately, we didn't watch the team qualify for the finals, since I was working, but we chased the result afterwards. We were very happy," concluded Leonardo, who promises to make another dream of his fiancée come true, linked to Flamengo, of course.
"Soon, I'll take Luciana to a game at Maracanã. She's never been and needs to feel the thrill of being in the stands."
