Fla makes the most of its sequence of games in Rio
In eight days, Rubro-Negro plays four home matches, winning three and scoring 335 points.

The outcome of Flamengo's marathon of games in Rio de Janeiro was positive. From January 27th to February 03rd, in eight days, the beloved team played four Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) matches at the Tijuca Tennis Club. They achieved three victories and scored 335 points, averaging 83,75 points per game. Thanks to these good results, Flamengo maintained its lead in the competition. For point guard Gegê, the series of home games also yielded other positive consequences.
"The team's maturity was noticeable during this marathon of games, one after the other. We were able to gel and rotate more. The team's growth and evolution are evident every day. Unfortunately, we didn't get four wins, but three is a good result. We remain in the lead. Now, we have to focus on the two away games we have coming up to stay at the top of the standings," he said.
The two games mentioned by Gegê will be held in São Paulo. On Thursday (February 06.02th) and Saturday (February 08.02th), Flamengo will face Liga Sorocabana and Paulistano, respectively. These matches will be the last for the Mais Querido (Flamengo's nickname) in the NBB (Brazilian Basketball League) before the break for the first phase of the Liga das Américas (Americas League).
According to coach José Neto, the four consecutive games in Rio de Janeiro were beneficial. However, he lamented the defeat to Pinheiros, which took place last Saturday (February 01.02st). For him, the focus is already on the upcoming away games.
"Without a doubt (it was a productive run). Only in the defeat against Pinheiros did we fall short in terms of consistency, showing a certain inconsistency in attack. We are looking to be consistent. The players need to get into a rhythm with almost no training. It's a shame we lost at home, but now we'll try to win away from home to make up for this defeat here in Rio," he said.
