After the stumble against Pinheiros, last Monday (21.11), in Tijuca, Flamengo seeks rehabilitation in the NBB 4 (Novo Basquete Brasil). The red-black team faces Minas, at 20 pm, in Belo Horizonte (MG), in the third round of the competition. Flamengo has one win and one loss.

For the match, the team will feature the debut of captain Marcelinho. The player missed the first two rounds due to a suspension for the altercation in the match against Franca in the semifinals of last year's NBB.

"We're still at the beginning of the season and we'll only gain rhythm and cohesion with a sequence of games. A win now will be very important for our recovery," said Marcelinho.

Coach Gonzalo Garcia issues a warning:

"Minas has a young team and could surprise. We'll go out on the court trying to maintain consistency and correct the mistakes from the last round," he said.

After Minas, it's Flamengo's turn to face Brasília in the biggest basketball derby of the season. The two teams face off next Saturday at 15 p.m. at Tijuca Tênis Clube. In the preliminary round, Flamengo's youth team will play the first match of the State Championship final against Macaé at 11:30 a.m.
