Fla remains undefeated in the Brazilian Under-21 Championship

After three rounds, Flamengo's under-21 basketball team remains undefeated in the Olympic Development League (LDO), the Brazilian championship in this category that is being played in São Sebastião do Paraíso (MG). This Tuesday (11.10), the team is off in the competition and on Wednesday (12.10), they return to the court against Tijuca, at 16 pm.
In the last round, the Red-Black team crushed Limeira, 89-49, with another show from Fred Duarte, known as Varejinho. The forward scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds (a double-double). Gegê and Alexandre Paranhos were the other standouts for Paulo Chupeta's team.
"The group is growing a lot and that's important. Now we have to keep up this pace, as we have some very tough games ahead and we have to be prepared to face everyone on equal terms," said Fred.
In the competition's debut, Flamengo defeated Pinheiros, 83 x 77. Afterwards, they defeated Araraquara 104 x 36. In both matches, Fred was the top scorer.
