Flamengo returns to the court this Wednesday (21.09) for the third and final round of the State Basketball Championship. Their opponent will be Macaé Sports, at 19 pm, at the Juquinha gymnasium, in Macaé. Flamengo is looking to maintain its unbeaten run, having won its first two matches against Iguaçu (107x23) and Tijuca (74x47). The Rubro-Negro is also fighting for its seventh title in the competition.

Coach Gonzalo Garcia, who was in the Pre-Olympic tournament as assistant coach of the Copa América-winning Argentine national team, is now back in charge. Gonzalo even led the team to its victory over Tijuca last Monday.

"It will be another match to help us prepare for the season. We still have a lot to work on, and these games are helping us review the small mistakes we won't be able to make in the National Championship," said the red-and-black coach.

After going to the opponent's home, Flamengo will receive Macaé on Friday (23.09), at the Hélio Maurício gym, in Gávea, at 19 pm, in a match valid for the first round of the return of the State Championship.
