Flamengo takes to the court this Monday (28.01), at 20 pm, to face the Uberlândia team, at Ginásio Homero Santos, in Minas Gerais, in a postponed match of the 5th round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Undefeated, Flamengo is the current leader of the competition, with 16 wins. And the game later promises strong emotions, as the Minas Gerais team, current runner-up in the NBB, has a strong defense and one of the best home records.

More than ever, Flamengo will rely on the scoring of winger Marquinhos, one of the team's standouts in the NBB. The player's performance, as well as his height (2,07m), are also impressive: averaging 31,56 points per game. Center Olivinha, Flamengo's top scorer in the last game against Pinheiros with 23 points, is another weapon for the Red-Blacks to overcome the Minas Gerais team.

In the upcoming match, if they win, the team led by coach José Neto will equal the record for consecutive wins in the first phase of the competition. The current record belongs to Flamengo, which won 2008 consecutive games in the 2009/17 season.
