Fla takes to the court for the third game of the series
The match will be next Saturday afternoon, in Bauru
By Communication - Official Club Website - inNext Saturday (May 03.05rd), at 16 PM, Flamengo will take to the court at the Panela de Pressão gymnasium in Bauru. After the first two games of the best-of-five series against Bauru, in the quarterfinals of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), at home, Flamengo will travel to their opponent's home seeking their second victory in the playoffs. According to coach José Neto, the team managed to win the second game due to a significant improvement in their offensive performance compared to the first match.
"In the last game, we had a better performance, I think we managed to have a large volume of play, and that made the difference for the team. We always have to look for that volume against the Bauru team, which is a strong team that defends with great intensity. When we manage to impose our game, we win the match. I had already said in the first game that a factor that weighed heavily in the defeat was the offensive aspect. Defensively we were practically the same as the previous game (first), but in this one (second) we improved a lot offensively," analyzed the coach.
The coach also reminds everyone that in the playoffs, every game is a final. For the next match, the first away game, Neto expects the players to be fully focused. If Flamengo wins, they will be one victory away from a spot in the semifinals, without needing a fifth game.
"Every game is a key game. Just like the first one was for Bauru, in this second game we went for the win to have the possibility of deciding at home. We knew the importance of winning and this game was key for us, as will be the third, the fourth and, if necessary, the fifth. Playoffs are like that, each matchup, even if it's part of a decisive series, brings the team closer or further away from the spot. The focus has to be on each game to reach the objective," he concluded.
The match will be broadcast on the Sportv channel.
