Flamengo began its final week of training this Monday (April 18.04) before its debut in the NBB (New Basketball Brazil) playoffs. The team faces Bauru in the best-of-five quarterfinals of the competition. The first game will be on April 24.04, at 11 am, in Bauru. Ranked fourth—with the same record as the top three teams—Flamengo will have home-court advantage in the quarterfinals. Coach Gonzalo Garcia stressed the importance of winning the first game.

"Our objective is to win the first game there (in Bauru) to try to decide the match in the following two games, at home," said the Argentine coach.

Gonzalo praised his opponent and asked his players to pay maximum attention.

"Bauru has a great team and is no match for the top-ranked teams. This was demonstrated in the 3-0 victory over Paulistano in the round of XNUMX. We have a lot of respect for our opponents," he concluded.
