Flamengo is eliminated from the Liga das Américas after losing to Mavort this Saturday in Argentina. In a tight match, the red-and-black team led in the final stage but ended up losing 95-93. This Sunday, the Rio de Janeiro team faces Lanus in its final match of the competition, before turning its full focus to the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) on Monday.
"Now it's time to think about the NBB. Neto definitely deserved more. We had a lot of changes during the game and didn't have control when we needed it," lamented Marquinhos, remembering that coach José Neto turned 42 this Saturday. The point guard was the red-and-black's top scorer with 32 points and Caio Torres had a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds.
Next Thursday (21.03), Flamengo faces Joinville, at 20 pm. The match will be in Santa Catarina.
