Flamengo returned to winning ways in the NBB. After two defeats in the last rounds (Paulistano and Pinheiros, respectively), the red-black team defeated Bauru, 83 x 81, on Thursday night (09.02), at the Luso-Brasileiro gymnasium, in Bauru (SP). Now, Flamengo has 13 wins in 17 matches in the competition, and, on Saturday (11.02), returns to the court against Liga Sorocabana, at 15 pm, in Sorocaba (Sportv broadcast).
Bauru's Larry led the way with 30 points. For Flamengo, Kammerichs stood out with 18 points. Duda, who started on the bench, also had a strong performance, finishing with 14 points.
"We know the team we have, and we couldn't let the recent negative results affect us. We showed that we have a strong mindset, and that was very important in the match," said center Caio.
The first quarter was balanced and Bauru took the lead: 24 x 22. In the second quarter, the São Paulo team opened up a 34 x 27 lead, but two three-pointers from Duda and a two-pointer from Hélio put Flamengo back in the game: 36 x 36.
