Three Flamengo players will represent Brazil in the U-18 3x3 Basketball World Cup, which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from September 26 to 29. They are: Douglas Sales, Gabriel Silva, and Leonardo Medeiros; all three are 18 years old.
The three red-and-black players and João Carlos, the fourth member of the Brazilian team, will report to coach Thiago Ramos today at 14 p.m. for training, which will run until the 22nd at Grajaú Country Club in Rio de Janeiro. On the 23rd, they will all depart for Indonesia.
3v3 basketball has different characteristics from regular basketball. The main ones are: three starters per team, the game is played on a half-court court, teams shoot for the same basket, games are played in two five-minute halves, and the team that scores 33 points first or the one with the most points at the end of both periods wins.
