The final round of the second leg of the State Championship will be a festive one for Flamengo. Undefeated in the competition, the Rubro-negro team will face Tijuca this Sunday (14.11), at 11 am, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gymnasium, in a match that will be part of the celebrations for Flamengo's 115th anniversary, on the 15th.
The winner of the game will receive the "Gente Brasil - 115 anos do Flamengo" Trophy. Additionally, there will be prizes for those who wear Flamengo jerseys and a special performance by children from the Cultura na Cesta social project. Admission is free.
So far, Flamengo has a 100% record in the competition, with nine wins. The team from Gávea is seeking its sixth championship. For the final stage of the South American League, the red-and-black team will take the court on November 25.11th against Boca Juniors (ARG).
"These State Championship games are excellent preparation for Flamengo," said coach Paulo Chupeta.
For the match against Tijuca, the team will not have point guard Duda and power forward Jefferson, who were injured during the first phase of the South American League, in Santiago Del Estero, Argentina.
