In the city of Sorocaba, in São Paulo, at the Gualberto Moreira Gymnasium, the Mais Querido defeated Liga Sorocabana by 98 to 79, in a match valid for the 23rd round. The top scorer of the match was Marcelinho, who scored 29 points. With the result, the Rubro-Negro remained in the isolated leadership of the competition.

With five points and four assists, point guard Gegê praised the red-and-black team's performance. "We defended well and played on the counterattack. The offense worked, also thanks to the good defense. We dominated from the start," said the player, who was encouraged by Marcelinho's performance. "He did well and is getting back to his ideal rhythm. It's already showing that Marcelinho is back," he said.

Besides Marcelinho, three other red-and-black players stood out for their scoring. Marquinhos played for just over 27 minutes and scored 18 points. Washam and Olivinha played for roughly the same amount of time as Marquinhos, scoring 14 and 18 points, respectively. Together, they grabbed nine rebounds.
