Flamengo ignored Araraquara and returned to the lead of NBB 4, alongside Uberlândia. The red-and-black team defeated the São Paulo team 99-52 this Saturday (January 14.01) in Araraquara, São Paulo, in the penultimate round of the first round of NBB 4. Flamengo now has 11 wins in 13 games (84,62% success rate), the same record as the Minas Gerais team, which had a bye this round. Uberlândia, however, has the advantage in the head-to-head record (the first tiebreaker).

Forward/guard Duda led the way with 20 points. Centers Caio Torres and Átila also stood out, with 17 and 14 points, respectively. Flamengo's next match will be against Tijuca on January 19.01th at 19 p.m. at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium in Gávea.
The red-and-black team was superior throughout the match. The first quarter ended 20-11 for the Rio de Janeiro team, who went into halftime leading 41-21. In the second half, the advantage increased. The third quarter ended 72-39, and Flamengo closed the game 99-52.

Next week, Flamengo players will participate in the II National Basketball Selection, starting on Monday (16.01), at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea. In addition to interacting with the young athletes, the adult team will help in the selection of new talents.
