Flamengo's basketball team crushed Macaé 107-83 in the third round of the State Championship, remaining undefeated in the competition. The game, held at the Juquinha Gymnasium in Macaé, featured the debut of center Caio Torres, who had a stellar performance, scoring 16 points for Flamengo. The game's top scorer was once again American David Jackson with 23 points.

Flamengo proved superior, taking a 13-point lead in the first quarter, which ended 32-19. David Jackson stood out with nine points for the red-and-black team. In the second quarter, Macaé tried to rally, but Flamengo kept pressing, not letting their opponent get any closer and heading into the locker room with a large lead: 61-38.

In the last stage of the match, Flamengo was the only team that gave Macaé no chance and finished the game 107-83.

The team returns to the court against Macaé, in a match valid for the first round of the return leg of the State Championship, next Friday (23.09), at 19 pm, at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in Gávea.
