Flamengo remains in contention for the state title in the youth category. This Sunday, at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, the red-and-black team defeated Central 57-28 in the twelfth round of the championship and remained in fourth place. The top scorer of the match was the Rio de Janeiro national team's winger, Gabriel, who scored 29 points. In the youth and junior categories, the Gávea club wasn't as fortunate and ended up losing.
In the youth team's game, which was worth the symbolic title of the first round, as both teams were undefeated in the competition, Flamengo, with 21 points from Douglas, lost 58-50 and finished in second place.
